and ROAR at EV

Welcome to Evergreen Valley High School, home of the Cougars!

At Evergreen Valley, our staff and students work together to build a more equitable campus community.  Every student at EVHS is welcomed as they are, and we strive to ensure that ALL students know they belong and can be successful at our school.  At EVHS, we ROAR!

Evergreen Valley High School first opened our doors to students in 2002 and the first senior class graduated in 2006.  Since then, EV graduates have advanced to a variety of colleges, universities, and careers. Every day, thousands of Evergreen Valley High School alumni are making a difference in their communities.

Our campus is known for its vibrant school culture, strong academic program, and spirited student life.  Students are encouraged to be socially responsible - striving to always make choices that positively impact themselves, their friends, and their community.  Evergreen Valley has an incredible faculty and a rigorous academic program tailored to meet the individual needs of every student.  College Prep and Advanced Placement courses are open to all students and every student is encouraged to challenge themselves with rigorous coursework.

Evergreen Valley is truly one of the best schools in the Bay Area, having been recognized by the California Department of Education as a California Distinguished School in 2021.  Student life at EVHS is inclusive and energetic, with over 100 student clubs and organizations.   Parents and community members are consistently dazzled by the quality of our performing/visual arts programs and the innovation of our computer science and robotics programs.  Over 1,000 students participate in athletics at EVHS in a variety of different sports.  EV is proud of our 41 Division titles and 8 CCS championships!

There are several parent organizations at EVHS and opportunities for parents to become involved in the school community.  Please consider joining one of our parent groups: PTSA, Latino Parent Coalition, Band Boosters, Speech & Debate Boosters, and the English Learners Advisory Committee.

Please stop by our parent center in the main office with any questions you may have.  You may also call our parent center at (408) 347-7052, email teachers using our DIRECTORY, and view your student's courses and grades using Canvas.   We look forward to seeing you at events on campus.

Go Cougars!
