AP EXAM INFORMATION
Registering For AP Exams
Students need to create a College Board Account if you have not done so already. It is suggested you use a personal email rather than your school email in case you move from the district or need to access something after you graduate. Create College Board Account
Use the Join Codes given to you by your AP teacher to join their AP Classroom. This will automatically register you for the AP Exam.
If you are in an AP Class, but do not want to take the AP exam, you need to fill out this form; AP Test Opt Out Form This must be done by September 30th to avoid cancellation fees. Once you have submitted the form, Mr. Johnson will unregister that particular test for you. Note: We do not recommend this. AP exams are an integral part of being in an AP Class. They cannot be used as part of your classroom grade. Most colleges will not ask for your AP scores as part of the application process, although some make them optional.
Some exams can be taken as "Exam Only" without the student being enrolled in the corresponding AP class. Please follow this link to read more and to be directed to the process for signing up for those exams. EXAM ONLY information
Paying For AP Exams
AP Exams are $90 per exam, unless the student has a fee waiver, in which case they are $5 per exam.
AP Exam fees must be paid to the school bank between October 1st and October 31st 2025. The preferred method of payment is using the online school store EVHS student store / online payments for AP Exams
Students can pay in person at the bank with cash or check. The bank is only open during non classroom times for this payment. If you prefer to pay this way, we highly recommend you pay early in October to avoid the long lines that happen at the end of the month. Again, we prefer you to pay online.
Students with fee waivers must pay at the school bank as the online option is not set up for reduced fees.
To apply for a fee waiver, students and parents must fill out and sign this form Fee Waiver Application (make a copy and fill out). Bring the filled out form along with proof (EBT card or a Medi-Cal Card in student's name or the East Side Union High School District Income Eligibility Form) to Ms. Barragan in the TLC before school, at break, or lunch. This needs to be turned in by October 24th. If you had a previous fee waiver, you will need to fill out a new one this year.
Exams that are not paid for by October 31, 2025 will be removed from the student's account. We might be able to put them back in later, but there will be a late fee in those cases.
