EVHS CHORAL PROGRAM

The EVHS Choirs are under the direction of Ms. Jennifer Kambeitz, a graduate of the ESUHSD school district (Mt. Pleasant HS) and SJSU (BA Music, Teaching Credential, and MA Education). Ms. Kambeitz has been teaching in the ESUHSD for 25 years, 8 at Independence HS and 17 at Evergreen Valley HS.

Currently there are different levels of Choir offered: Chorus, open to all students regardless of ability and requires no audition; Choir 2 for returning Chorus members, and Concert Choir for students who have successfully completed Chorus, Choir 2 and/or have passed the required audition to become a member of the Concert Choir. The Choirs perform three traditional concerts each year and also perform at festivals off campus.

The repertoire performed in each concert varies from the Renaissance madrigals to contemporary songs, and everything in between. The concerts for the 2022-2023 school year are November 9th "If You Can Walk You Can Dance, If You Can Talk You Can Sing," February 15th "To Sleep, Perchance To Dream," and our Choral Celebration/Senior Farewell concert on May 24th. All concerts are performed in the EVHS Theater, tickets are $5 and are available at the door at 6:30pm. EVHS Choir alumni will get free admission to any concert if they send me an email!
