Learning Objectives:
Students will navigate the CCGI platform to familiarize themselves with tools that support their future planning
Students will complete interest and career assessments to better understand their strengths and preferences
Students will finish the "Setting Yourself Up for Success" and "Getting to Know Your College Options" modules to build foundational knowledge for post-high school planning.
Through journal prompts, students will think critically about their current steps and future plans related to college and career readiness

Explore CCGI

8:45a - 9:15a
Optional CCGI Introduction Video (7 Min)
For the next 30 minutes, students will dive into CCGI to explore its features and resources. Encourage them to check out all the functions. Later, they will complete a few tasks with a scavenger hunt and quiz.
CCGI Pair Share
10 min.
9:15-9:25a
Students will partner up with a peer or small group to discuss what they learned from the CCGI platform related to college or career planning. As a conversation starter, have them share what they like to do in school. What do they like to do outside of school? Where do they hope to see themselves doing?
Past and Future Me (Career Investigation)
45 minutes
9:25:-10:10a
Students will sign in to CCGI, navigate to the 'Career' section, and select 'Interest Profiler.' They will then complete the assessment and review their results.Once completed, they will save and upload their finished worksheet to their CCGI "My Document" section.
Afterward, have students Go to My Plan and then My Journal. In the College Journal section, find prompt #6: What progress have you made towards your college or career goals during your first year of high school? Did you make any decisions you regret? Did you make any decisions you were especially proud of?
If students are done with Past and Future Me (Career Investigation, they can start with “Setting You Up for Success” Module

Setting You Up for Success & Getting to Know Your College Options

Students should complete the 'Setting Yourself Up for Success' and 'Getting to Know Your College Options' modules.Setting You Up for Success Once both modules are finished, they can explore other assessments or complete journal entries in CCGI. If they have completed every module and assessment, they may work on an additional assessment as needed.
Other assessments they can try once everything is done are Career Explorer, or Ikigai Test.
